Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their individual mental health needs, which may include detailed discussions about their history, symptoms, and life circumstances.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans that integrate evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, addressing specific psychological concerns while promoting a supportive environment.
  • Lead psychoeducational workshops to enhance patients’ understanding of mental health issues and coping strategies, fostering a sense of community among participants.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to coordinate holistic treatment strategies, ensuring patient safety and comprehensive care.
  • Provide crisis intervention services as needed, utilizing your training to support patients in challenging situations.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring all records reflect the highest ethical standards and legal requirements.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops, webinars, and case consultations to stay current with the latest research and therapeutic practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The individuals you will support include a diverse range of patients experiencing mental health conditions. You will have the opportunity to work with adults who are seeking assistance for issues from mild anxiety to severe psychosis, and everything in between. You will tailor your approach based on each patient's unique needs, cultural background, and personal history, helping them navigate their mental health journeys.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required, with preference given to candidates possessing a Master's degree in related disciplines.
  • Valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the State of New York is mandatory.
  • Deep understanding of various mental health disorders and therapeutic interventions.
  • Demonstrated ability to create effective treatment plans, combining clinical skills with empathy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills capable of establishing rapport with clients.
  • Strong ethical judgment and adherence to professional boundaries.
  • Experience using electronic health record systems and familiarity with telehealth platforms.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in outpatient mental health counseling is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, particularly in underserved communities, is a plus.
  • Prior involvement in case management or integrated care models.
Compensation and Benefits
