• Conduct ethical and compassionate mental health counseling through secure video conferencing, utilizing a range of therapeutic techniques.
• Employ solution-focused treatment modalities tailored to individual client needs, ensuring a person-centered approach throughout the therapeutic process.
• Design and implement effective treatment plans that address the specific challenges and goals of each client, incorporating their unique background and experiences.
• Facilitate insightful discussions that allow clients to explore their emotions, experiences, and interpersonal relationships to foster self-awareness and personal growth.
• Monitor clients’ progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to accommodate their evolving needs and therapeutic goals.
• Empower clients by teaching them healthy coping strategies and life skills to enhance their overall mental health and well-being.

In your role at Helping Hands Counseling, you will primarily work with stable, low-acuity adults who present a wide spectrum of mental health concerns. Our clientele includes individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions. By utilizing an evidence-based framework, you will significantly contribute to their ability to lead fulfilling and productive lives.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Full licensure to practice independently without supervision as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• No disciplinary actions on record and ability to provide proof of liability insurance.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a deep level of empathy and understanding for the diverse experiences of clients.
• Proficiency with technology and a strong comfort level with various digital platforms and software.

While a minimum of two years of experience in a relevant mental health counseling setting is required, candidates with additional experience in teletherapy or specific treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) will be positively regarded. Experience working with adult populations is preferred.
