JOB OVERVIEW
The Copy Writer II produces clear, on-brand copy across a range of digital marketing channels and formats, working within established brand guidelines and under moderate direction. This role contributes to content programs spanning blog, email, web, and campaign assets, and develops proficiency across funnel stages and audience types. The Copy Writer II brings a working knowledge of B2B content and is building toward independent ownership of projects with increasing complexity.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  • Content Strategy & Execution
    • Contribute to a content production calendar spanning blog, email, web, and social media assets; manage assigned workload through intake, drafting, and review cycles to meet publish deadlines
    • Write and edit copy across multiple formats and channels - blog posts, landing pages, email campaigns, and social media - applying brand voice and adjusting tone for audience segment and funnel stage with guidance from senior team members; draft, schedule, and publish social posts across company channels in alignment with the content calendar and brand standards
    • Interpret subject matter expert input, product information, and creative briefs to produce clear, accurate copy appropriate for healthcare professional audiences
    • Apply SEO fundamentals to assigned content; incorporate target keywords and follow established optimization guidelines to support search performance goals
  • Brand Voice & Standards
    • Apply the company brand voice and style guide consistently across all assigned content; flag inconsistencies or gaps for review and incorporate feedback to maintain quality standards
    • Proofread and edit content for brand voice alignment, clarity, grammar, and accuracy; support review cycles for assigned channels and asset types
    • Apply consistent messaging and positioning within assigned campaigns and business unit content, following established brand strategy and escalating questions on tone or direction as needed
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Collaborate with digital marketing, demand generation, product marketing, and creative teams to execute content that supports campaign goals; participate in briefing and planning processes
    • Research target audience needs and industry context to inform assigned content; use available resources including existing personas, briefs, and subject matter expert input to ground copy in relevant insights
    • Manage assigned projects through multiple concurrent deadlines; communicate progress, flag blockers, and coordinate with stakeholders to keep work on track
  • Professional Growth & Standards
    • Apply content quality standards consistently across assigned work; actively incorporate editorial feedback to develop craft and build toward greater independence on complex assignments

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years of copywriting or content writing experience in a professional marketing environment, with demonstrated ability to produce polished, on-brand copy across multiple formats
  • Demonstrated ability to write across formats and channels - blog, email, web, and social - with consistency of voice and the ability to adapt style for different audiences and funnel stages
  • Familiarity with B2B, SaaS, or healthcare technology content; ability to research unfamiliar subject matter and produce accurate, readable copy from complex source material
  • Foundational understanding of SEO principles and how content supports search visibility; willingness to develop deeper proficiency in content performance and optimization practices
  • Ability to manage multiple assigned projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and communicate proactively when priorities shift or blockers arise
