Our platform combines intelligent automation, deep risk visibility, and developer-first experiences, shaping the future of application security.

We are also committed to building a collaborative, empowering workplace. If you are excited about this role but do not meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply. Your perspective could be exactly what we need!

We are seeking a Business Development Representative to own the top of the sales funnel for our products by sourcing and qualifying net-new pipeline across our North American territory.

What You'll Do
  • Generate and qualify pipeline across an assigned territory through outbound prospecting and inbound lead follow-up (i.e., calls, email, and social selling)

  • Convert qualified leads into meetings for Account Executives against a defined qualified-opportunity quota

  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads, converting them into meetings for Account Executives against a defined qualified-opportunity quota

  • Own territory pipeline health by tracking activity, follow-up cadence, and conversion in Salesforce

  • Partner with Account Executives to hand off qualified meetings and keep early-stage opportunities moving

  • Research target accounts and buyer personas (i.e., engineering and security leaders) to build targeted, multi-touch outreach sequences

  • Represent Mend.io at industry conferences and marketing events, engaging prospects and building pipeline in person

  • Build product and market fluency through onboarding and ongoing enablement, and apply it directly in prospect conversations

What You Bring
  • 1-2 years of experience as a BDR/SDR in a SaaS or software company, consistently hitting or exceeding quota

  • Demonstrated ability to run a full outbound cadence independently by prioritizing, sequencing, and following through with minimal oversight

  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Account Executives or sales leadership to convert qualified meetings into pipeline

  • Strong written and verbal communication for cold outreach across phone, email, and social channels

Nice to have
  • Experience selling into engineering, security, or developer-focused buyers

  • Familiarity with sales engagement tools (e.g., Outreach, Salesloft, Salesforce)

Our Culture
