Job description

Role: Sr. Project Manager (Contract)

Location: GTA (remote or hybrid options depending on project)

Contract Duration: ~ 6-8 months

Start Date: Immediate


As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the planning and delivery of digital projects and campaigns for some of our key clients. You will oversee multiple work streams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard of quality. You will work closely with Strategy, Creative, UX/UI, and Technology teams to bring complex initiatives to life, including initiatives involving enterprise design systems and scalable digital platforms.

Responsibilities:


Planning

  • Has a clear understanding of the client’s business needs, expectations and requirements and can apply them to a clearly defined project plan
  • Recognize relationship and roadmap priorities, identifying optimal product/application features, key performance indicators, and measures of success -- while setting milestones to achieve their delivery and responding flexibly to change & evolving client needs


Execution

  • Coordinates activities of the delivery team and has overall responsibility for quality output
  • Manage a variety of project using either a traditional waterfall or agile methodology or blend of the two
  • Performs timely review and approval of invoices and timesheets
  • Leads the creation and delivery of all change requests required for active projects
  • Ensure that the projects meets and exceeds the company’s internal project delivery standards


MonitoringScheduling and Financials

  • Ensures adherence to processes for scope management and change control
  • Responsible for accuracy and overall financial health throughout the project lifecycle including estimates, revenue forecasts, invoicing, payables, receivables, etc.


Client Communication

  • Ensure accurate reporting and open communication with client
  • Ensure risks and decisions are tracked and shared with the client on a regular basis


Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of project management experience in digital, web and ideally mobile
  • Solid understanding and practical experience of agile best practices is required
  • Hands-on experience delivering enter-prize level projects that involve design systems
  • Experience in working closely with Tech, Creative and UX teams
  • Excellent understanding and performance of project delivery best practices including budget, scope and time management
  • Expert knowledge of one or more of the following: software development life cycles, web/mobile technologies, web/mobile development processes and the delivery of solutions with creative and engineering components, digital strategy projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Preferably have a background or understanding of IT
  • Ability to deal with uncertainty and take charge of difficult situations
  • Strong team leadership skills (helping lead the team’s work)
