Job description

Responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities

You will be responsible for programing a feature and or a small feature set. You will contribute to the team and work with direction from the Senior Team Members or management but work independently.


In this role, you will:

  • Have awareness of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques.
  • Ability to write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.
  • Understand performance parameters and can assess application performance.
  • Understand core data structures and algorithms and has the ability to implement them using language of choice.
  • Work on a cross functional (software, firmware, quality, product and program management) SCRUM team ranging in size from 4 to 10 members.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
  • No professional work experience required but must have experience making software applications (in educational setting or independently)

Desired Characteristics

Technical Expertise:

  • Experience using object-oriented languages such as C, C++, C#, and Java. C# (preferred.)
  • Comfortable in navigating and updating database tables.
  • Understanding different architectures such as MVC and MVVM.
  • Full stack development from front-end to back-end.
  • Aware of Methods and practices such as Lean/Agile/XP, etc.
  • May have prior work experience in an agile environment, or introductory training on Lean/Agile. Aware of and able to apply continuous integration (CI).
  • Operating with general understanding of the impacts of technology choice to the software development life cycle.

  • Having the ability to break down problems and estimate time for development tasks.
  • Understanding the technology landscape, up to date on current technology trends and new technology, brings new ideas to the team.
  • Displays understanding of the project's value proposition for the customer and showing commitment to deliver the best value proposition for the targeted customer.
  • Learning the organization vision statement and decision-making framework and understanding how team and personal goals/objectives contribute to the organization vision

  • Voicing opinions and presenting clear rationale, using data or factual evidence to influence.

The annual pay scale for this position is between $67,690.00 - $125,860.00.

Candidates for this role (office-based/ hybrid/ remote) must be located in or near the locations displayed above.
