In this role, you will be responsible for serving as a key resource in the mental health department, ensuring that optimal therapeutic services are delivered. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments to understand the diverse needs of students and crafting individualized treatment plans based on established best practices.
• Implementing a variety of therapeutic interventions tailored to student needs—including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)—to effectively address emotional and psychological challenges.
• Maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation, adhering to HIPAA standards and other relevant regulatory requirements.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including educators, psychiatrists, and psychologists to facilitate integrated care and a holistic approach to mental health.
• Participating in ongoing case consultations and peer review meetings to continually enhance the quality of care provided.
• Educating students and their families about mental health, available treatment options, and community resources to promote informed decision-making.
• Staying abreast of the latest research in mental health and integrating new findings into practice to provide up-to-date and effective care.
• Managing a full caseload, ensuring treatment goals are met while maintaining ethical standards as delineated by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).

This role focuses on a diverse population of students ranging from elementary to high school age, addressing various mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma. Your expertise will play a critical role in enhancing the mental health and educational experiences of these individuals, fostering not only personal growth but also overall school community well-being.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid License to Practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in a clinical setting, particularly in providing psychotherapy services.
• Thorough understanding of solution-oriented psychotherapy techniques and interventions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills necessary for effective engagement with students, families, and colleagues.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to devise effective treatment strategies.
• Capacity to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
