Overview

Provides internet-based investigative and OSINT support to the SIU and Claims organization through social media analysis, public records research, background investigations, and intelligence gathering. Assists with identifying suspicious activity, organized fraud trends, and investigative leads to support SIU investigations and litigation strategy. Serves as a liaison between SIU, Claims, Underwriting, and external investigative vendors. All job duties and responsibilities must be performed in compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, privacy, and company guidelines.


Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth internet searches, review and analyze incoming referral information, and coordinate requests from the field. Must remain current with popular and emerging internet/social media sites. The Analyst will summarize results/findings and provide written feedback.
  • Conduct cyber research, including social media profiles, blogs, and posts. Conduct searches in ISO, Decision Net, Class, and Select Plus to add valuable background and investigative information to the referral.
  • Identify, investigate, and secure all information in accordance with Selective guidelines, the host site's guidelines, and prevailing law.
  • Conduct state and country database checks and be able to work with all state, national, and industry fraud reporting agencies.
  • Assess and assist with coordinating additional investigations, including SIU referrals, surveillance, etc.
  • Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining databases consistent with industry and company best practices.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Requirements

  • Familiarity with Windows OS, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software applications.
  • Candidate should have basic knowledge of claims handling and the investigative process.
  • Proficiency with social media and internet research is preferred.
  • Prior claim handling or SIU experience preferred.

Education and Experience

  • College degree preferred.
  • Proficient with technology, internet-based search engines and social media.

The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint. Additional considerations include relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance, and business needs.


Pay Range
USD $73,000.00 - USD $94,000.00 /Yr.
