Oracle Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team on a full-time basis. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while serving a diverse clientele in our outpatient office. The ideal candidate will have experience specializing in mood disorders and will contribute significantly to our mission of providing comprehensive mental health services to the Spokane, Washington community.

Work Environment

This full-time position allows for a predominantly remote work setting, providing you with the flexibility to balance your professional responsibilities with personal life. While the core working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, there may be occasional opportunities for evening and weekend shifts on a rotational basis, ensuring that we meet the varied needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mood disorder symptoms, such as severity, frequency, and duration.
  • Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs and therapeutic goals.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address mood disorders.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies that promote mental wellness.
  • Monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure the best therapeutic outcome.
  • Work closely with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.
  • Stay informed of the latest research and developments in the field of mood disorder treatment to enhance professional practice.
  • Ensure accurate and confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in case consultations and team meetings to share insights and improve treatment effectiveness.
  • Promote de-stigmatization of mood disorders by advocating for client needs and mental health resources within the community.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily involves working with clients dealing with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid and current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Washington.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of post-licensure experience focusing on mood disorders, demonstrating knowledge of effective therapeutic modalities.
  • Proven ability to deliver successful outcomes for clients with mood disorders, showcasing a strong understanding of effective treatment strategies.
