Work Environment

This is a remote teletherapy position, allowing you to create your own schedule each week and provide services from anywhere. As a member of our fully remote team, you will use our advanced counselor portal, an intuitive all-in-one platform designed to streamline scheduling, client booking, and counseling services. You’ll work independently while still being part of an enthusiastic team committed to delivering top-tier mental health care.

Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual therapy sessions via secure video chat to assess and address clients’ mental health needs.
• Facilitating discussions that allow clients to explore their emotions and experiences, fostering greater self-awareness and understanding of their relationships.
• Collaborating with clients to establish meaningful goals, acting as their advocate throughout the therapeutic journey.
• Utilizing your clinical expertise to evaluate clients’ mental health conditions, and developing and implementing effective, solution-focused treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your caseload will consist primarily of pre-screened stable adults with low-acuity mental health concerns. This means that you will not be working with individuals who face severe mental health challenges. Instead, you’ll have the opportunity to engage with clients requiring support in managing anxiety, depression, life transitions, and other common issues. We will ensure alignment between your specialties and demographic preferences when matching you with clients.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Psychologist (PsyD).
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
• A compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
• Strong organizational skills and effective time-management abilities to handle a diverse caseload.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience will be preferred:

• Previous teletherapy or online counseling experience.
• Expertise in specific therapeutic modalities or experiences, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Care, or mindfulness-based approaches.
• Experience working with populations that you feel most passionate about, be it young adults, seniors, or those dealing with specific mental health challenges.
