Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Wellpath, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status and identify their unique therapeutic needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and collaborate with clients to establish therapeutic goals.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing diverse therapeutic techniques that resonate with culturally diverse populations.
  • Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes and client engagement.
  • Refer clients to other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and social services, when additional support is required.
  • Document all sessions and treatment plans accurately in our EHR systems to comply with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Participate in peer consultations and case reviews to enhance therapeutic effectiveness and maintain professional development.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your caseload may include clients grappling with a range of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders. You will be expected to foster a strong therapeutic alliance with each client, honoring their individuality and incorporating their cultural contexts into your approach. Your sensitivity to the complexities of mental health will guide you as you advocate for clientsโ€™ rights and support their journeys toward recovery.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of California.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience providing mental health counseling, with a preference for prior remote counseling experience.
  • A strong understanding of mental health disorders and proficiency in evidence-based treatment approaches.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits
