Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that evaluate students' personal history, risk factors, and presenting issues to ensure a comprehensive understanding of their needs.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, aligning with their mental health goals and fostering emotional resilience.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed approaches, tailored to address the varying mental health concerns of clients.
• Lead individual and group therapy sessions aimed at facilitating personal growth, instilling effective coping strategies, and promoting emotional regulation.
• Engage with other healthcare professionals within our clinic, such as psychiatrists and psychologists, to coordinate comprehensive care and provide a holistic approach to treatment.
• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and guiding patients to appropriate resources when necessary.
• Deliver psychoeducation to clients and their families, empowering them with knowledge about their mental health conditions, treatment pathways, and local community resources.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, aligning with legal and ethical standards of practice.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to enhance collaborative care and share best practices.
• Stay informed regarding current laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines relevant to mental health care in community settings.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on providing mental health support to a population that includes individuals from various backgrounds and experiences, often facing challenges such as trauma, anxiety, and behavioral issues. As an LCSW at Wisdom Wave Mental Wellness, you will play a critical role in offering services that both uplift and stabilize individuals in need, contributing to improvements in overall community mental health.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Valid and current LCSW licensure in the state of New York.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, preferably with diverse populations.
• Proficiency in conducting mental health assessments and formulating well-informed treatment plans.
• Experience in providing individual and group therapy using various therapeutic modalities.
• Strong crisis intervention skills and the capability to remain composed under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that foster rapport and trust with clients from all backgrounds.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and competent in using digital tools for remote service delivery.

Preferred Experience

While a solid two years of experience is necessary, candidates with additional experience in school-based mental health services, trauma-informed care, or specialized therapeutic modalities are strongly encouraged to apply. Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to USD 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
