Job Description:
Field Service Engineer will report to the Field Service Manager. This role will provide support to customers for installations, repairs, and training. The ideal candidate will be technically oriented and love to travel. Exceeding customer expectations is the primary responsibility of all personnel within the department.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install, repair and train customers on CNC Cutting Machine Products.
  • Test faulty equipment, apply knowledge of functional operation of electronic devices to diagnose the cause of malfunctions, and repair problems.
  • Write technical reports describing malfunctions and deviations from design specifications
  • Diagnose malfunctioned equipment.
  • Perform preventative/corrective maintenance on customer's machines.
  • Communicate and troubleshooting with customers, programmers, engineers, technicians, and production personnel to resolve problems. Includes communications with customer operators and maintenance personnel.
  • Make timely travel arrangements to accommodate customer's needs.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Associate degree in Electronic Engineering Technology or 2-3 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience with ESAB equipment a plus.
  • Able to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional & technical journals, and governmental regulations.
  • Excellent written and oral communications
  • Able to apply advanced mathematical concepts (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, schematic diagrams, etc.)

Mobility & Travel Requirements
  • Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to travel domestically (100%) with occasional international travel to support our customer.
  • Occasional Weekend work during large project installs.

Pay Range:
$69,441.00-$80,472.00
