Job Title: Advanced Services Engineer

Summary

The Advanced Services Engineer is a customer-facing role that guides customers from intent to measurable outcomes by implementing and maturing their Varonis data security platform. By translating business goals into an execution plan, the role prioritizes adoption, operationalization, and risk reduction while setting measurable targets and clear decision points.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze information about a customer's environment, stakeholders, priorities, and constraints to define an outcome driven delivery plan
  • Effectively assess and translate technical and operational requirements needed to achieve the customer's desired outcomes
  • Proactively identify blockers to progress and drive creative paths forward to maintain momentum and reduce time-to-value
  • Understand customers' security pain points and consult on Varonis leading security practices that improve security posture and adoption
  • Advise customers on security best practices and help embed them effectively into their business processes
  • Manage, track, and report on the progress of customer engagements, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and outcomes are clearly documented and communicated
  • Perform remediation projects to help customers reduce security risk by identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions
  • Support customers primarily through remote engagement, with occasional onsite assistance

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 5+ years of related experience in customer facing technical roles
  • Experience with cloud/SaaS ecosystems such as Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, Google, Amazon S3, and Salesforce.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Purview
  • Excellent interpersonal, multitasking, and organizational skills; strong ability to communicate technical concepts as customer outcomes
  • Outstanding customer service mindset focused on achieving outcomes with consistency and transparency
  • "Please the customer" mentality
  • Sense of humor
