Job Overview:
The Project Management team at Cambium Assessment partners closely with internal functional teams and state education agency clients to ensure that all contractual deliverables associated with large-scale, computer-based statewide assessment programs are planned, executed, and delivered on time and in accordance with program requirements.
As a member of the Project Management team, the Senior Project Coordinator provides senior-level operational and administrative support to program and project managers and works collaboratively with cross-functional teams on both short-term and long-term initiatives. In this role, the Senior Project Coordinator oversees assigned workstreams and tasks, supports internal CAI teams and client needs, and is expected to work independently on small projects or defined portions of larger programs with minimal direction. This role requires occasional domestic travel to support client meetings, trainings, and other in-person program activities.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide senior-level support to the program manager and project team members to ensure project deliverables are appropriately scheduled, clearly communicated, actively tracked, and completed on time.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project plans and schedules, including the creation of materials, client planning documents, assessment schedules, and related program artifacts.
  • Resolve routine to moderately complex operational issues and respond to project-related questions with minimal oversight, escalating only as needed.
  • Perform and coordinate software user acceptance testing (UAT) and software specification verification activities; collect, track, and manage feedback from clients and document responses and resolutions from internal functional teams.
  • Create training materials, including PowerPoint presentations and recorded training modules; deliver training on online testing system functionality and features to internal staff, clients, and other external stakeholders, as appropriate.
  • Review and maintain quality control standards for major project deliverables, including reports, test content, and other program products.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, official meeting minutes, issue logs, tracking documents, and other standard project management artifacts.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, conferences, cross-program initiatives, and training sessions, including scheduling, materials preparation, and follow-up documentation.
  • Serve as a liaison to Help Desk and support teams to coordinate responses to complex, client-facing issues and ensure timely resolution and communication.
  • Respond to client inquiries and provide accurate program information within the assigned area of responsibility, ensuring consistency with project plans and contractual commitments.
  • Provide editorial support and document preparation services, including drafting, editing, formatting, and quality-checking client-facing and internal project documents, presentations, and reports to ensure clarity, consistency, and professional standards.

Job Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in project coordination, program support, or a related role. Bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and detailed tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex, detail-oriented assignments with limited direction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience supporting client-facing project work.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with project management or work-tracking software such as Smartsheet and JIRA.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Data analysis
  • Software user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Training development or delivery
  • Customer service or client support for technology-based applications

Preferred Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience with editorial review, document preparation, and formatting of professional or client-facing materials (e.g., reports, plans, presentations, meeting documentation).
  • Experience supporting large, complex programs with multiple stakeholders and interdependent deliverables.
  • Familiarity with large-scale assessment, education technology, or public-sector contracts.
  • Experience working with remote or geographically distributed project teams.
