The Salesforce Consultant supports the design, configuration, testing, and implementation of Salesforce solutions that improve client business processes and customer experiences. This role is designed for individuals with strong hands-on Salesforce experience who are developing their skills as professional services consultants.
TheConsultant works closely with Business Analysts, Senior Consultants, Solution Architects, Developers, and Quality Engineers throughout the delivery lifecycle. The role combines functional Salesforce configuration with quality assurance and testing responsibilities, providing broad experience across discovery, design, build, testing, deployment, and user adoption.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Configure Salesforce solutions based on documented business requirements and solution designs
  • Build and maintain declarative Salesforce functionality including objects, fields, page layouts, Flow, validation rules, reports, dashboards, and security configurations
  • Support implementations across Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Industry Clouds, and other Salesforce platform capabilities
  • Participate in client discovery sessions, requirements workshops, and solution-design discussions
  • Document business processes, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional configurations
  • Work with Senior Consultants and Solution Architects to translate business requirements into Salesforce functionality
  • Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance test cases
  • Validate Salesforce functionality against requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Identify, document, reproduce, and track defects through resolution
  • Collaborate with Developers and functional team members to troubleshoot defects and validate fixes
  • Support automated testing and regression-testing processes where appropriate
  • Support release validation, deployment readiness, and post-deployment testing
  • Assist with data preparation, data validation, and migration activities
  • Support UAT by developing test scripts, coordinating testing activities, and helping users understand expected functionality
  • Create user documentation, training materials, and other adoption resources
  • Support end-user training and Salesforce adoption activities
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily standups, demonstrations, and retrospectives
  • Identify requirements gaps, quality concerns, risks, and potential scope impacts and escalate them to project leadership
  • Maintain accurate project and solution documentation
  • Develop Salesforce platform expertise through hands-on project experience, training, and certification
  • Stay current with Salesforce releases, Agentforce, Data Cloud, and emerging platform capabilities

What You Bring to the Role
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce user, administrator, tester, analyst, super user, or other Salesforce-focused role
  • 2+ years of experience testing Salesforce or other enterprise applications
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce business processes and platform capabilities
  • Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, an Industry Cloud, or comparable Salesforce solutions
  • Experience developing and executing functional, regression, integration, or UAT test cases
  • Experience documenting and tracking defects and validating fixes
  • Understanding of business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Experience working with business users and technical team members to resolve issues
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn new Salesforce capabilities and apply them to business requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work effectively within an Agile, cross-functional delivery team
  • Interest in developing a career in Salesforce consulting and professional services
