Tiny Triumphs Counseling Services is actively seeking a dedicated and culturally competent Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in an all-remote capacity. Work Environment

This role is fully remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements while maintaining the essential functions of an outpatient counseling service. Our team members collaborate virtually in a supportive environment that encourages continuous communication and feedback. Work hours are typically Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to gain an understanding of each patient’s unique experiences, challenges, and needs.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans that are evidence-based and reflective of the cultural backgrounds of patients.
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing and resolving mental health issues while fostering resilience.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other multidisciplinary professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated care for patients.
  • Offer timely crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, applying strong crisis management skills to ensure patient safety.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources, enhancing their understanding and access to care.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential records in compliance with all laws and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
  • Participate in case conferences and team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment updates and to enhance cross-professional collaboration and care.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through cultural competency training sessions and stay updated on the latest research and practices in mental health therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice is dedicated to serving a diverse client base that includes ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrants facing unique challenges. This demographic focus allows our therapists to utilize their cultural competence and experience to provide personalized and relevant treatment that resonates with the patients' cultural context.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois.
  • Proven understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches, specifically tailored to diverse populations.
  • Demonstrable skills in delivering both individual and group therapy with a focus on culturally responsive therapeutic techniques.
  • Strong crisis intervention capabilities and the ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for establishing rapport with patients from varying backgrounds.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and associated digital tools.
  • A commitment to upholding ethical practices, professional boundaries, and confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience serving multicultural populations and applying culturally adapted therapeutic interventions.
  • Background in crisis intervention and emergency mental health support.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary range between USD 70,000 and 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
