Job description

All Qualified candidates will be responded to in 24 hours or less
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
This effort is on-Site in McKinney, TX
Employment type: Full Time W-2 or Contract
Pay Rate: $90-110/hr. Depending on experience and skills match

Principal System Safety Engineer
•Analysis of engineering hardware and electrical drawings and schematics assessing for fault tolerance, latent hazards, and safety requirements compliance
•Working with test and tactical operating and maintenance procedures to assure the proper administrative controls are in place
•Working across all integrated product teams and lines to properly eliminate hazards or provide effective controls.
•Design of concise, testable safety requirements or providing safety analysis of existing requirements •Performing System Safety Program or Design analyses
•Placement in challenging or under-performing programs with the expectation of improvement of the safety program
•Managing multiple-large system safety programs or a safety product line
•Interfacing with key stakeholders (e.g. customers, program offices, subcontractors, vendors)
•Mentoring Multiple Jr. Engineers
•Preparing Safety Assessment Reports and Safety Program Briefs for Customer Approval
•Streamlining processes and reports across a product line for improved efficiency
•Interpreting system requirements, customer specifications and military standards
•Preparing internal and customer reports describing various analyses relevant to the System Safety program
