What is a Remote SaaS job?

A Remote SaaS (Software as a Service) job involves working from a location outside of a traditional office to support, develop, market, or manage cloud-based software products. These roles can include positions in software development, customer support, sales, marketing, or product management, all focused on delivering software solutions over the internet. Remote SaaS employees typically collaborate with their teams using digital communication and project management tools. The main advantage is the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to the growth and success of a SaaS company.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote SaaS Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote SaaS Specialist, you need a strong understanding of cloud-based software solutions, technical troubleshooting, and customer support, often supported by a background in IT or computer science. Familiarity with SaaS platforms, CRM systems, and tools like Zendesk or Salesforce is typically required, along with relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner. Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and self-motivation are crucial soft skills for remote collaboration and customer engagement. These skills ensure effective service delivery, customer satisfaction, and productivity in a distributed work environment.

What Are Remote SAAS Jobs?

Remote Software as a Service (SaaS) jobs focus on developing, servicing, or otherwise providing software with its own integrated distribution platform, usually to allow any number of external users access to that software. In this role, you may help develop a SaaS product, promote the sales of software, or handle customer support and feedback to guide future changes to the software. SaaS jobs are similar to most other programming roles—the main distinction between SaaS and other software is the method of distribution, not how the software is coded. SaaS jobs often focus on regular updates to help retain existing users and attract new ones, so you may be asked to work overtime as needed to help get updates out on time. Remote SaaS jobs usually involve working over the internet to send and receive code, test products, conduct advertising, or perform any other related job.

What are some common challenges remote SaaS professionals face in collaborating with cross-functional teams, and how can these be addressed?

Remote SaaS professionals often work with colleagues from product, engineering, marketing, and customer success teams across different time zones and locations. This can lead to challenges such as communication delays, misaligned priorities, and difficulties building rapport. To address these, teams typically rely on clear documentation, regular virtual meetings, and collaborative tools like Slack, Jira, and shared project management platforms. Proactively seeking feedback and scheduling check-ins also help maintain alignment and foster a positive remote work culture.

Job description

Build Creators Who Don't Just Launch - They Last.

You know that shift.

When a creator stops saying
"I'm building something..."

and starts saying
"I'm scaling something."

That moment?

That's your territory.

At Passion.io, we're building at the frontier of the creator economy. We're rolling out AI-powered features that radically accelerate how creators build, launch, and scale inside our platform - and you'll be part of that evolution.

This role exists to guide creators through onboarding, launch, monetisation, and retention - so they don't just publish an app... They build a business that lasts.

Not just hype.
Not just downloads.

Revenue. Renewal. Reputation.

Now, we're doubling down.

Which means...  This isn't traditional Customer Success. We need someone who understands:

Audience growth

Offer positioning

Monetization psychology

Revenue strategy and conversations

And what it actually takes to scale a personal brand

You don't wait for churn signals.  You design momentum before they happen.

If you've lived inside the creator economy - built something, coached something, launched something - keep reading. This one's for you

A Day In Your Creator Orbit:

You'll manage 45 premium creators - primarily US-based (so yes, EST/PST is part of your rhythm).

On any given day, you're:

  • Guiding a creator through refining their offer and pricing
  • Reviewing funnel strategy before a launch
  • Spotting early churn signals in your portfolio
  • Documenting progress and revenue milestones
  • Jumping on a momentum call where you challenge thinking (with care and clarity)
  • Ensuring creators are leveraging new product features

You're not reacting.  You're steering.

You're commercially aware.

You treat their growth like it's partly yours.

A Week in Your Growth Engine
  • Running structured business review sessions
  • Executing and refining lifecycle playbooks
  • Monitoring NRR, engagement signals, and health scores
  • Identifying upsell opportunities naturally through strategy
  • Sharing creator feedback with Product & Marketing
  • Collaborating cross-functionally on retention OKRs

This is high-touch.  But it's also high-impact, high-ownership.

The Long Game You're Building

Over time, you will:

  • Refine onboarding, launch & retention playbooks
  • Strengthen scalable high-touch systems
  • Turn creators into brand advocates
  • Reduce churn through proactive strategy
  • Increase expansion revenue through smart positioning
  • Contribute meaningfully to how Customer Success evolves at Passion

You're not just maintaining accounts.  You're shaping outcomes.

Requirements

If This Sounds Like You... We'd Rave to Meet You
  • You have 2+ years in CSM, onboarding, or revenue-focused client roles
  • You've advised customers on business or monetisation strategy
  • You understand the creator economy (not just conceptually - practically)
  • You're commercially confident (upsell and renewal conversations energise you)
  • You balance empathy with empathetic directness.
  • You naturally apply high emotional intelligence & structured thinking
  • You design success plans, not just follow them
  • You've worked in high-touch environments where ownership matters
  • You're comfortable with CRMs (HubSpot etc.) and portfolio health tracking
And If This Describes You... It's A "Must-Meet" Moment
  • You've built or scaled your own digital product or personal brand
  • You've coached creators or entrepreneurs
  • You think in NRR, expansion, and revenue impact
  • You are pragmatic and have the ability to customize support by use case
  • You understand lifecycle triggers & health scores
  • You're analytical.  Decisions you make are data-led
  • You're technically comfortable discussing integrations, backend logic, or automations
  • You thrive in fast-moving startup environments
A Quick Reality Check (In The Best Way)
  • This role isn't about reactive ticket queues
  • Your playground is powerful revenue conversations
  • You're confident drawing the line between empathy and clarity
  • You crave ownership
  • You see each creator's success as shared success

If that excites you - you're in the right place.

You'll Know You're Winning When...
  • Creators stay, grow, renew - and rave about working with you!
  • Your portfolio shows stable, predictable, growing NRR
  • Creators see you as a strategic business partner
  • Portfolio health scores are improving, not reactive
  • Success plans are clear, documented, and measurable
  • Product & Marketing decisions are influenced by your insights
  • Creators launch profitable apps - and stay long-term

That's Impact.
