Job description

I have an opportunity for "RUBY Developer" _ REMOTE" and I am looking for a candidate who can join Immediately if you are interested, reply to me with your updated resume or if you could refer someone I would really appreciate it.
Position : Ruby Developer
Location : 100% remote - EST hours
Duration : 3 months to start - long-term will extend until 2024
Interview Process : Video interview
Must Have -
  • 2+ years' of prior experience developing applications with Ruby on Rails
  • Familiarity with Geospatial Data is required
  • GeoBlacklight experience ideal - ability to learn
  • Experience deploying to the Cloud environment (AWS preferred)
  • Understanding of the OAuth 2.0 standard for authentication.
  • Understanding of JavaScript, bootstrap, PostGIS or similar frameworks.
  • Familiarity with GeoServer and Apache/Nginx web server management (certificates, ports, DNS).
  • Comfortable with Linux command line utilities and standard Git best practices.
  • Experience cleaning and optimizing data in various forms.

Domain - Academia
Nice to Have -
  • Experience with Tomcat, Solr, PostgreSQL, MySQL
  • Familiarity with Geospatial metadata, Geospatial files (shapefile, geodatabase, Lidar data..)
