• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments, identifying patients' mental health strengths and challenges to inform treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), tailoring approaches to meet individual patient needs.
• Collaborate with a team of professionals, including psychiatrists and nurses, to enhance treatment effectiveness and patient support.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health diagnoses, treatment options, and medication management, empowering informed decision-making.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using structured therapeutic modalities, enhancing patients' coping strategies and social support networks.
• Develop and regularly update treatment plans through collaboration with the treatment team, ensuring alignment with patient goals and preferences.
• Advocate for patients’ needs within the mental health system, providing necessary resources and support to navigate challenges.
• Lead psychoeducation sessions and therapeutic groups to foster peer support, understanding, and community among patients.

You will be working primarily with adults and adolescents facing substance use challenges, as well as those dealing with related mental health issues. The care provided emphasizes sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and experiences, recognizing that effective treatment is rooted in understanding each patient's unique journey.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
• Valid and active state licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts is essential.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment methods, and crisis intervention strategies.
• A strong commitment to working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team framework.

• Experience working in a clinical or therapeutic setting focused on substance use and mental health is highly valued.
