Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to evaluate patients' mental health status, strengths, needs, and challenges.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), tailored to each patient’s unique circumstances.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated, comprehensive care, ensuring that all aspects of a patient's treatment are harmonized.
• Educate patients and families about mental health diagnoses, treatment options, and medication management to promote informed decision-making.
• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing various therapeutic modalities that align with best practices and patient preferences.
• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team, setting realistic goals that reflect the patient’s desires and strengths.
• Advocate for patients navigating the mental health system, ensuring they receive appropriate services and understand their rights.
• Lead therapeutic groups and psychoeducational sessions, effectively addressing topics relevant to mental health and recovery.
• Coordinate discharge planning meetings to ensure smooth transitions for patients back into their communities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LCSW at The Recovery Care Center, you will work with a diverse population experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Our clients range from children and adolescents to adults and families, each requiring tailored support to achieve their recovery goals. Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Connecticut.

Compensation and Benefits
