What is a Remote Robotics job?

A Remote Robotics job involves designing, programming, monitoring, or maintaining robotic systems from a remote location. This can include teleoperating robots, developing automation software, or troubleshooting robotic hardware via cloud-based platforms. Remote robotics professionals work in industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, aerospace, and logistics. These roles often require expertise in robotics engineering, programming, and network communications. Advances in AI and IoT have made remote robotics more accessible and crucial for automation and efficiency.

Will AI replace robotics engineer?

AI is expected to augment the work of robotics engineers by automating certain tasks such as programming, data analysis, and system optimization. However, robotics engineers will continue to be essential for designing, building, and maintaining complex robotic systems that require human oversight, creativity, and problem-solving skills. The role is likely to evolve rather than be fully replaced by AI.

What are some typical challenges faced by professionals in Remote Robotics roles?

One of the most common challenges in Remote Robotics is troubleshooting hardware and software issues without direct, on-site access, which requires strong analytical and remote diagnostic skills. Professionals in this field often navigate time zone differences and coordinate closely with local technical staff or end users to resolve issues quickly. Effective communication and clear documentation become critical to ensure remote instructions are followed accurately. Additionally, staying up-to-date with evolving technologies and security protocols is essential for maintaining optimal system performance and data safety.

What engineering jobs pay $500,000?

Senior engineering roles such as aerospace, petroleum, and software engineering can reach or exceed $500,000 annually, especially with experience, bonuses, and stock options. These positions often require advanced skills, leadership responsibilities, and sometimes specialized certifications or advanced degrees.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Remote Robotics position, and why are they important?

To thrive in Remote Robotics, you need a strong foundation in robotics engineering, computer programming (especially Python, C++, or ROS), and experience with remote system monitoring and troubleshooting. Familiarity with teleoperation platforms, cloud-based control systems, and remote diagnostics tools is essential, with relevant certifications such as CSWA or ROS Developer often preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are valuable soft skills for collaborating across distributed teams. These skills ensure you can efficiently design, monitor, and maintain robotic systems from a distance while collaborating with colleagues and clients in dynamic environments.

Which 5 jobs will survive AI?

Remote robotics jobs such as robotics engineers, automation specialists, and systems integrators are likely to persist as they require complex problem-solving, hands-on skills, and adaptability that AI cannot fully replicate. These roles often involve designing, maintaining, and improving robotic systems, which depend on advanced technical knowledge, programming skills, and physical interaction. Continuous learning and expertise in tools like CAD, programming languages, and control systems are essential for long-term employment in this field.

Can a robotics engineer work remotely?

Robotics engineers can often work remotely, especially in roles focused on software development, simulation, and design, which require computer-based tasks. However, positions that involve hardware testing, assembly, or maintenance may require on-site presence. Remote work availability depends on the employer and specific job responsibilities.

Senior RPA Developer - Automation Anywhere (IT)

The Senior Developer, RPA, serves as the technical anchor for the Robotic Process Automation Center of Excellence (RPA CoE). This role is responsible for the technical integrity and delivery of the automation portfolio, providing a bridge between strategic leadership and team execution. The developer focuses on the technical realization of Intelligent Automation (IA) initiatives, ensuring that the team builds stable, high-quality solutions that align with the program's long-term roadmap.

The role focuses on hands-on execution and delivering measurable results that advance strategic technology initiatives. Assists team with high-priority production escalations as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Intelligent Automation & Agentic Solution Delivery:

  • Lead the hands-on development and configuration of high-complexity automations including traditional RPA, but with a focus on the transition to Agentic workflows (LLM-based agents, autonomous decision-making loops).
  • Design and implement advanced integrations involving but not limited to Document Intelligence (IDP), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Generative AI to solve complex healthcare business problems that classic RPA cannot address.
  • Conduct rapid prototyping and technical feasibility assessments for emerging automation technologies, acting as the primary engineer for "first-of-its-kind" solutions before transitioning them to the broader team for scaling.

Technical Leadership & Quality Oversight

  • Serve as the technical lead for the development team; provide high-level guidance on complex logic and ensure the team is successfully adopting IA and Agentic design patterns.

  • Perform deep-dive code reviews and architectural validations to ensure offshore deliverables meet DaVita's standards for security, performance, and intelligent design.

  • Provide technical mentorship to the team, assist with documentation, best practices, and reusable code libraries for advanced automation components.

Strategic Production Integrity & Incident Oversight

  • Act as technical point of contact during U.S. afternoon hours for critical production failures; provide clear, timely status updates to business stakeholders regarding the progress of technical resolutions.

  • Translate complex technical "breaks" into understandable Root Cause Analysis (RCA) summaries for non-technical partners, ensuring they understand the cause for and resolution of production issues.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

  • Identify, develop, and recommend best practices and process enhancements to improve efficiency and operational excellence.

  • Propose innovative solutions to reduce technical debt and optimize workflows.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and project management methodologies.

Education and Requirements

Educational Background:

  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field is required. A master's degree is preferred.

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in technology delivery, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in RPA and Intelligent Automation.
  • Mastery of at least one major RPA platform (Automation Anywhere strongly preferred).
  • Experience building with Agentic/AI frameworks (e.g. Python, LLMs, and API integration) is a significant advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage organizational change and facilitate the adoption of modern technologies (e.g., Artificial Intelligence)
  • Proven success in providing technical oversight to development teams.
  • Good understanding of engineering tools and experience working within technology teams.

Technology Project Delivery & Portfolio Management Methodologies Proficiency:

  • Hands-on experience utilizing project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Practical experience with Agile, Scrum, or other recognized project delivery methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects concurrently within a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of technology portfolio management principles and governance frameworks.

Process Improvement:

  • Familiarity with process improvement techniques and methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and process mapping.

Communication, Collaboration, and Influence:

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams and influence stakeholders across all organizational levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

  • Preferred: Professional certifications such as Automation Anywhere Certified Master RPA Professional (Automation 360).
