Remote Robotic Simulation Engineer information

How does a Remote Robotic Simulation Engineer typically collaborate with cross-functional teams during project development?

As a Remote Robotic Simulation Engineer, you will work closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams to ensure accurate virtual representations of robotic systems. Collaboration often involves regular video meetings, shared simulation files, and joint troubleshooting sessions to validate robotic behaviors before deployment. Clear communication skills and familiarity with collaborative platforms are essential, as feedback and updates are exchanged frequently to meet project milestones. This remote structure allows for flexible work arrangements but also demands proactive engagement to stay aligned with team goals.

What is a Remote Robotic Simulation Engineer?

A Remote Robotic Simulation Engineer is a professional who designs, develops, and tests virtual models of robotic systems using simulation software, often while working from a remote location. Their work helps predict and improve the performance of robots before they are physically built, reducing costs and development time. These engineers collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to refine robot behaviors in simulated environments and may also troubleshoot or optimize robot algorithms. The role often requires strong skills in robotics, computer programming, and simulation tools like ROS, Gazebo, or MATLAB. Working remotely, they leverage digital communication tools to stay connected with their teams and projects.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Robotic Simulation Engineer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Robotic Simulation Engineer, you need a solid background in robotics, computer science, and engineering, often supported by a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field. Proficiency with simulation software such as Gazebo or ROS, familiarity with programming languages like Python or C++, and experience with 3D modeling tools are typically required. Strong problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and self-motivation are crucial for excelling in remote and collaborative environments. These skills ensure precise development, effective troubleshooting, and successful integration of robotic systems in virtual settings.

What is the difference between Remote Robotic Simulation Engineer vs Remote Robotics Software Developer?

AspectRemote Robotic Simulation EngineerRemote Robotics Software Developer
CredentialsBachelor's or higher in Robotics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering; experience with simulation toolsBachelor's or higher in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field; programming skills
Work EnvironmentPrimarily uses simulation platforms like Gazebo, V-REP; collaborates with engineers and researchersFocuses on developing robotics software, algorithms, and control systems; often involves coding and testing
Industry UsageCommon in research, testing, and validation of robotic systemsUsed in software development for robotics applications, automation, and product deployment

The main difference is that Remote Robotic Simulation Engineers focus on creating and testing virtual models of robots using simulation tools, while Remote Robotics Software Developers primarily write and optimize software for robotic systems. Both roles require programming skills and industry knowledge but serve different stages of robotic development.

Job description

Senior Product Marketing Manager

Remote

Agility's commercially deployed humanoids operate alongside teams in warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centerstackling physically demanding and repetitive tasks while enabling workers to focus on higher-value work. With industry-leading safety standards and years of proven deployment data, we're pioneering a new era of automation that enhances human potential.

About the Work

As the Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will bridge the gap between our industry-leading humanoid robotics technology and the audiences evaluating our solutions. Your job is to own positioning and messaging for Agility's product and technology portfolioincluding our humanoid robot Digit, Arc automation software platform, and the broader ecosystem of tools and technology that keep Digit working.

You will be the ultimate connective tissue between masterful engineering and the market, translating deep technical concepts into crisp, customer-focused value propositions. The ideal candidate blends deep technical curiosity with strategic marketing muscle and a hands‑on passion for storytelling and content creation.

What You'll Do
  • Portfolio Positioning & Messaging: Define and evolve the overarching value proposition for Agility's product portfolio. Develop differentiated messaging frameworks that connect technical capabilities with customer needs.
  • Drive Go-To-Market & Launches: Lead GTM planning and high‑profile product announcements. You will own audience definition, naming, positioning, and marketing requirements to drive awareness and demand in priority industries and use cases.
  • Technical Content & Enablement: Serve as a hands‑on creator and overseer of high‑impact sales enablement assets (spec sheets, presentations, case studies, and videos). Ensure absolute technical accuracy while accelerating the buyer's journey.
  • Know the Customer Deeply: Map the decision‑making landscape for automation buyers and operators. Understand their operational pain points, tech stacks, buying processes, and KPIs to create persona frameworks that ground all demand generation and marketing execution.
  • Synthesize Market Intelligence: Act as the strategic loop between the market and the company. Gather and translate analyst research, win/loss data, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback into actionable insights that shape our go‑to‑market.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Management and Engineering to become a subject matter expert on Agility's hardware and software applications. Collaborate tightly with a world class creative team to bring product storytelling to life across all marketing channels.
  • Set Demand Generation Priorities: Use data‑driven insights and market trends to establish clear priorities for demand generation, ensuring campaigns align with current product capabilities and priority industries.
About You
  • 8+ years of experience in product marketing or product management, with a proven track record of driving high‑profile product launches for robotics, AI, or adjacent deep‑tech hardware.
  • A master storyteller and writer who can translate complex technical functionality into clear, relatable narratives for both highly technical engineering buyers and non‑technical executives.
  • Industrial market fluency: Experience marketing to manufacturing, logistics, or warehousing industries is a strong plus. You should be comfortable speaking the language of industrial customers.
  • A strong bias for action, backed by incisive strategic instincts. You balance big‑picture strategy with execution, and you thrive when bringing clarity and direction to fast‑paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Highly collaborative and pragmatic, with a demonstrated ability to partner closely with Product Management, Sales, and creative teams to influence outcomes without formal authority.
The Agility Fit
  • Ownership: You proactively identify opportunities, take initiative on solutions, and follow through on commitments.
  • Trust: You listen as much as you talk and take responsibility for collective success.
  • Adaptability: You're smart with resources, focus on outcomes, and can pivot effectively as our industry evolves.
