Salary: $38.00 - $52.00 per hour

Brief Overview:

We are seeking per diem Registered Nurses to join our team and play a vital role in supporting our Mobile Childhood Immunization vaccination efforts throughout communities across Washington State. A deep familiarity with reviewing childhood immunization records and schedules is essential for success in this role. While extensive long-distance travel is not a requirement, we do offer additional compensation, including mileage reimbursement and travel per diem, for those who travel longer distances.


As a key member of the Mobile Team, you will be responsible for administering Childhood Immunizations, operating as a mobile immunization unit stationed at various service delivery sites across King County. Your responsibilities may also extend to receiving training for the administration of COVID-19, Flu, and Monkey Pox vaccines, as these services are currently offered at many of our Mobile Clinics. Rest assured, comprehensive training will be provided specifically for Mobile Childhood Immunizations. Your assigned locations will encompass public health clinics, public schools, and diverse community settings.


Your operational duties will encompass a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to obtaining and meticulously assessing immunization histories, accurately identifying immunization requirements, formulating meticulous immunization administration strategies, delivering comprehensive health education related to immunizations, and facilitating referrals to community resources when necessary. Additionally, your role will entail seamless collaboration with fellow team members spanning our organization and partner agencies, ensuring a collective effort to enhance the overall health and well-being of the community.

You are sent a schedule of all clinics available every Thursday and can select clinics that will fit into your schedule. Bird's Eye Medical creates a schedule from everyone's requests and then uploads it to an app on your phone.

All applicants must have an active WA state license and a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.


Schedule:

Per Diem and may vary depending on the assignment.

Accessible for assignments Wednesday through Sunday is preferred.

$38.00 - $52.00 per hour plus additional compensations listed below

What You'll Do:

Perform Childhood Immunizations (currently ages 18 months +)

Perform Covid-19 Vaccinations

Perform Influenza Vaccinations (during Flu season)

Complete patient Covid-19 symptom pre-screenings

Sanitizing work area, tools, etc.

Screening paperwork

Provide oversight/leadership over CMAs, MA-Rs, medical scribes, and LPNs during vaccination clinics

Respond in the event of adverse reaction.

Assisting with site set-up and tear-down each day.


What You'll Need To Get The Job Done:

2+ year of experience as an RN is preferred in an acute setting is preferred.

A Valid / Active DOH RN Credential is required, No NLC(Washington State DOES NOT participate in the compact nursing program)

Empathy, compassion, dependability, and kindness are a MUST

Basic computer skills as well as overall technical savviness

Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.

Ability to lift up to 30lbs.

Ability to stand for hours on your feet

Ability to vaccinate both pediatric and adult populations (we are vaccinating 18 months +)

Childhood Immunization experience required in assessing immunization histories, accurately identifying immunization requirements, formulating meticulous immunization administration strategies and delivering comprehensive health education related to immunizations.
