This position is remote-based, offering convenience and flexibility for our counselors while maintaining regular contact with colleagues and clients through secure telehealth platforms. • Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and collect comprehensive histories during initial consultations, including assessments of mental, behavioral, and emotional health.
• Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based techniques to promote patient engagement and recovery.
• Regularly monitor and document client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care for clients.
• Assist clients in managing referrals to other healthcare professionals when specialized services are required.
• Provide guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers, enabling them to understand and assist clients with their mental health challenges.
• Prevent and identify behaviors that could hinder the recovery process, implementing proactive strategies as needed.

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele from various backgrounds, addressing a wide array of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and substance use concerns. Your approach will focus on fostering a non-judgmental and supportive environment that empowers clients to express their concerns and goals freely while ensuring that therapeutic interventions are culturally competent and relevant.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• A valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
• Passage of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is essential.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, including AVATAR, for documentation and client management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Demonstrated capacity for clinical insight, professionalism, and empathy when interacting with clients.

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor or related position, with a proven track record of effective therapy delivery.
• Familiarity with current practices and protocols in mental health counseling as advocated by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Experience in handling cases involving co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions or substance use disorders.
• In-depth knowledge of psychopharmacology and the effects of medications commonly prescribed by healthcare providers.

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, and we also offer a sign-on bonus to new hires.
