• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments for new and existing patients to identify their psychological, emotional, and social needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices that integrate therapeutic goals with the patients' personal objectives.
• Implement therapeutic interventions, including individual, family, and group therapy, ensuring a solution-oriented approach to challenges faced by patients.
• Maintain thorough and accurate clinical records that comply with organizational protocols and legal standards, while also focusing on minimal paperwork.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers, to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about coping strategies, resources, and support systems available to enhance their emotional wellbeing.
• Stay current with mental health research and therapeutic techniques to continuously improve service delivery.

Your role as an LCSW will involve working with a diverse patient population that includes individuals facing terminal illnesses, chronic pain, and emotional distress related to their healthcare journeys. You will support patients and their families through difficult transitions, focusing on improving their quality of life and helping them navigate the emotional complexities of their situations.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of Virginia.
• Proficiency in evidence-based and solution-focused psychotherapy interventions.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information with clarity and compassion.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, essential for developing innovative therapeutic solutions.

• Experience working in a healthcare setting, particularly within hospice or palliative care.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and patient tracking.
• Background in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care approaches preferred.
