  • Document functional and technical specifications for sophisticated software enhancements, collaborating closely with engineering teams to translate advanced user needs into actionable features.
  • Benchmark company products against key competitors by evaluating capabilities, feature sets, and technical performance to identify high-impact improvement opportunities.
  • Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for internal teams, supporting implementation, support, and ongoing development efforts for complex solutions.
  • Contribute to all stages of the product lifecycle, including requirements gathering, technical planning, system design, testing, deployment, and post-release support, with a focus on independently managing complex projects.
  • Engage directly with stakeholders to elicit, clarify, and prioritize technical requirements for inclusion in the product roadmap, often handling the most challenging or critical initiatives.
  • Design software solutions that comply with relevant regulatory requirements (such as HIPAA, ONC) and interoperability protocols (such as HL7, FHIR), as well as OTP-specific regulatory frameworks (42 CFR Part 8, DEA Schedule II requirements), independently addressing complex compliance and integration scenarios.
  • Assist in maintaining and communicating a living technical product roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines, and taking ownership of major roadmap elements.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to sales, customer success, and implementation teams, helping articulate product capabilities and solutions to customers, particularly for advanced or high-priority products and features.
  • Prepare and deliver clear technical reports, analyses, and forecasts for management, addressing topics such as product performance, reliability, and utilization, including those involving complex data or metrics.
  • Support software release cycles by coordinating with engineering to monitor production readiness and address deployment concerns, especially for major or technically challenging releases.
  • Lead or participate in technical assessments of proposed product features, including ROI analysis, feasibility studies, and schedule development in partnership with cross-functional teams, with a focus on complex or high-impact projects.
  • Collaborate across departments, including engineering, quality assurance, and deployment, to launch new technical features and product modules, independently driving cross-functional initiatives.
  • Recommend product pricing strategies based on detailed technical research, system resource requirements, and projected usage metrics, particularly for sophisticated or new product offerings.
  • Stay current with technological advancements and industry best practices by attending relevant workshops, reviewing technical literature, and participating in professional organizations, and proactively sharing insights with the team.
  • Generate regular and ad hoc technical reports for business and internal stakeholders, and support special technical projects as assigned, often leading the most complex or novel initiatives.

RequirementsMinimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Product Management, Nursing, Pharmacy, or related field (experience may substitute for education).
  • 7+ years' experience in a product manager role for an EHR, with a strong preference for experience in medication management; active or inactive RN or PharmD licensure strongly preferred, with hands-on clinical experience in medication management workflows.
  • Familiarity with acute care settings and their distinct medication administration workflows.
  • Demonstrated success leading and independently executing complex, customer-facing product initiatives that increase conversion and drive strategic outcomes.
  • Ability to quickly learn internal product processes, develop deep business expertise, and handle complex product management challenges independently.

  • Effective customer service skills with prompt, professional issue resolution, especially in challenging or high-stakes situations.
  • Highly skilled at interacting with diverse groups across all organizational levels, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a leader within teams.

Preferred Qualifications
