PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Leads assigned members in developing and implementing annual energy marketing and business development strategies that maximize profitable growth. Assumes responsibility for assisting assigned GROWMARK members with targeted sales calls and training consistent with corporate guidelines.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Leads assigned members in developing and implementing annual energy marketing and business development strategies and programs to maximize profitable sales. Provides, via designated reporting tool(s), weekly summary that reviews completed activities and identifies planned activities based on annual plans.
Assists members with targeted sales calls in all market segments to maximize the GROWMARK System sales of all energy products and services.
Develops market analysis for all energy products and services with assigned members that result in maximum market penetration for the GROWMARK Energy Division.
Provides input to the GROWMARK Energy Division staff for the development of marketing strategies that help position GROWMARK System as an industry leader.
Conducts training programs and product update meetings for all energy products and market segments.
Participate in Energy Division and Region Energy meetings under the direction of the Energy Sales and Marketing Director(s).
Provides leadership and support to members and branded marketers in their operations. Acts as a liaison between GROWMARK and site, directing requests for assistance to appropriate personnel within GROWMARK. Provides follow-up on all requests for assistance.
Represents GROWMARK Energy Division at industry association meetings and trade shows in assigned area.
Attends necessary meetings and seminars to maintain and improve technical and marketing skills.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a college degree in marketing, management, or business-related field or equivalent, plus at least 3-6 years of retail management experience to demonstrate the ability to provide retail operations leadership to the assigned territory.
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Understanding and experience with retail energy-related areas including marketing/sales, marketing strategy, product mix; business, new product, and market development; retail training, financial statements, legal documentation, competitive adeptness, procurement, inventory management, distribution, policies and procedures, and compliance along with energy retail planning, program execution, budgeting, and communications.
Proven computer skills and the ability to use the computer to enhance business processes.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license and have the ability to travel independently and overnight when necessary.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
