  • Develop litigation strategy from pre-litigation counseling through trial, arbitration, mediation, and appeal.
  • Draft and argue dispositive motions, class certification briefing, discovery motions, and appellate filings.

  • Manage complex discovery, including electronically stored information (ESI) and large-scale document productions.
  • Advise employers on California Labor Code compliance, wage and hour regulations, employment policies, and risk management strategies.
  • Mentor, supervise, and provide substantive guidance to junior associates and litigation teams.
  • Maintain and expand strong client relationships while serving as a trusted legal advisor.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership on practice development, client service, and strategic growth initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Significant experience representing employers in California employment litigation.
  • Deep knowledge of California wage and hour law, including class actions and PAGA litigation.
  • Proven ability to independently manage complex litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Strong motion practice, deposition, courtroom advocacy, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience mentoring and supervising junior attorneys.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build trusted client relationships and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fully remote work environment.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Trial or arbitration experience in employment litigation.
  • Experience providing day-to-day employment counseling and preventative risk management advice.
  • Portable book of business or demonstrated business development experience is welcomed but not required.
  • Established relationships within the California business or legal community.
  • Leadership experience within an employment litigation practice.
