As a Mental Health Therapist at Vatica Counseling Center, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to inform individualized treatment plans.
• Diagnose and treat mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders, continuously adapting care plans based on evolving patient needs.
• Facilitate referrals to appropriate community services, treatment programs, and support networks, ensuring that patients receive holistic care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective discharge plans that enhance continuity of care.
• Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local mental health regulations while adhering to ethical standards.
• Organize and prioritize work tasks based on patient acuity and needs, ensuring timely interventions.
• Perform social work consultations and conduct crisis interventions, providing essential support during challenging moments.
• Advocate for patients and families by fostering effective communication among all relevant parties involved in a patient’s care.
• Identify risk factors that may contribute to avoidable delays in care, collaborating with leaders to create effective solutions.

This role will engage with a diverse patient population, including individuals experiencing a range of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders. As a therapist, your focus will be on creating a safe space for clients, allowing them to express their feelings and worries effectively. Building strong rapport with clients is essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with their families and support networks.

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as either an LICSW, LMFT, LMHC, or a psychologist in the state of Massachusetts.
• Strong understanding of community mental health resources and support systems integral to patient care.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and empathetically.
• Proven ability to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Prior experience in a mental health counseling role, particularly within a community health setting.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems or case management software that aids in client care coordination.
• Experience in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care practices.

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
