What You Will Do

As the Senior Manager, RGM Promotion Effectiveness, you will act as a key business partner and the everyday trade promotion effectiveness expert for the organization. This position helps drive consumer penetration and category profit pool growth, by leading the strategic development & execution of optimized trade spending across brands/sub-brands and channels. This individual will provide support for promo analytics and lead capabilities to deliver profitable value and volume growth. This position will report to the Sr. Director of RGM and work directly with all levels of the Chomps team. This individual will be the functional expert analyzing promotion tactics and performance (ex. lift, ROI, net sales) to identify opportunities for improved effectiveness while identifying trends across different retailers and assist with developing strategic initiatives and guardrails.

Responsibilities

Trade Promotion Effectiveness

  • Lead post event promo analytics (ROI, lift, etc) across strategic accounts and deliver compelling summaries for activation by developing Account Playbooks. Build the process for ongoing monthly collaboration in conjunction with other RGM levers
  • Collaborate with RGM Director developing national promotional guidelines and partner with Sales Planning to develop go-to-market strategies through AMPS
  • Leverage existing RGM tools include but not limited to SPINS data, TPM sources, and internal tools while maintaining an eye for new capabilities and ways to evolve systems for deeper analysis and efficiency.
  • Partner with Business Analytics Team ensuring promo recommendations included in the annual Budget Plan

Foundational Analytics

  • Develop scorecarding and monitor Chomps vs competitive promo depth and frequency and identify gaps by customer by comparative promoted group utilizing syndicated data sources
  • Build new tools and capabilities supporting ongoing analytics with an eye towards efficiency
  • Manage and maintain existing analytical systems and tools, ranging from home grown tools to more advanced applications (i.e. Promo Elasticity, Best Weeks Analysis, Walmart Beats Tool, etc…)
  • Act as the RGM Promo Tool Suite expert and train organization as needed

Who You Are

  • 5-8 years in CPG with relevant experience in RGM, Category Management, and/or Sales Planning required
  • Strong understanding of syndicated data sources (scanning and panel) and application to promotional analytics
  • Strong ability to communication across teams, internally and externally
  • Able to position yourself as a trusted advisor and build strong working relationships
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Analytical and able to convert data to strategic business insights
  • Can both leverage tools and create as needed
  • Strong analytical and advanced modeling skills in Excel
  • Knowledge of pricing and promotion analysis techniques
  • Proactive in bringing forth actionable insights and new ideas
  • B.S. is required. MBA is a plus
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience with TPO platforms, analytical techniques, syndicated data, Tableau, Power BI

Type: Full-Time, exempt

Salary Range Opportunity:

  • The salary range for this role is $135,000 - $145,000 annually + 20% annual bonus

  • Individual pay rate decisions are based on several factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company
