RF Test Engineer, Senior
The Opportunity:
As an RF Test Engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to prototype development for Directed Energy (DE) systems and capabilities. We're looking for an RF Test Engineer who can use their skills to research, analyze, down-select, fabricate, test, and integrate complex electronic and RF subsystems and components to advance our non-kinetic weapon portfolio for our DoD warfighters.
At Booz Allen, you'll use your engineering skills to transform DoD and Navy offerings. Our team develops next-generation weapons and combat systems. That's why we need an RF Test Engineer like you who specializes in high-power RF to help us design and develop systems that can operate successfully against advanced threats in complex environments.
On our team, you'll conduct scientific analysis and testing in a laboratory and field environment. You'll directly impact the DoD by demonstrating unique or niche capabilities. We'll look to you to share your RF test engineering expertise through leadership and mentoring junior staff. This is a chance to use your experience-based knowledge in pulsed power electronics while broadening your skillset into areas like mechanical engineering, systems engineering, and operational utility analysis.
Take on exciting challenges in the DoD with us as we provide our nation's warfighters with additional tools to combat the next generation of defense.
Join us. The world can't wait.
You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience in laboratory or field-testing environments, including setting test goals, developing test methodologies, organizing and conducting tests, reducing test data, and analyzing results
  • Experience in laboratory and field testing of HPM systems, including developing test plans, test readiness reviews, SOPs, spectrum allocation procedures, and setup and operation of systems and test equipment
  • Experience with test equipment to support HPM testing, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power meters, signal generators, amplifiers, and various voltage and RF probes
  • Experience with commonly used software to support HPM testing in collecting and analyzing data
  • Experience conducting research, embracing new technologies, automating testing, and applying learned concepts to project needs
  • Knowledge of RF principles
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams, including technical leads, project managers, developers, testers, engineers, and subject matter experts
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic systems for testing and integration purposes, provide recommendations to clients, and work on-site in indoor labs and outdoor testing environments
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with network interface and communication protocols
  • Experience supporting Navy programs in an R&D environment
  • Experience conducting testing for weapon effectiveness
  • Experience conducting RDT&E activities for DE systems

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
Compensation
At Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. Our offerings include health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits, as well as paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work-life programs, and dependent care. Our recognition awards program acknowledges employees for exceptional performance and superior demonstration of our values.
