Department: UCHlth Revenue Integrity

Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)  

Shift: Days 

Pay: 31.61 - 47.41 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary:
Performs clinical audits to identify revenue opportunities. Educates on opportunities and resolves charge-related issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Audits charging practices and chart documentation for accuracy; educates on errors. Ensures charges follow regulatory compliance billing guidelines. Identifies trends.
  • Reviews work queue requests for unlisted and new code requests. Recommends updates for EPIC charge preference lists. Educates on charging, reporting and documentation. Audits analyst reporting.
  • Analyzes and documents charge errors for complaints. Updates and educates on yearly CPT code changes.
  • Serves as a resource for clinical, coding and billing questions, and Revenue Guardian edits.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • AHIMA/AAPC Coding Certification or State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
