Job Summary

Position Title: Controller (Resorts)

Location: Remote

Description:

  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
  • Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies, GAAP, and regulatory requirements
  • Lead and develop the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance management
  • Monitor internal controls and implement improvements to safeguard company assets
  • Partner with operational leadership to analyze financial performance and support decision-making
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions
  • Manage audits, tax filings, and coordination with external auditors and consultants
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings
  • Support strategic planning and long-term financial initiatives

Requirements:

  • 5–8+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, with leadership responsibility
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience managing audits and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to lead and develop a team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
