Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist treating therapists in scoring, interpreting, and reporting on psychometric assessments to accurately inform treatment plans.
- Conduct supervision sessions in conjunction with the site supervisor, fostering a culture of learning and support.
- Regularly attend team meetings and collaborative sessions with clinical staff to ensure ongoing communication of client needs and organizational updates.
- Identify and leverage agency resources, services, and systems to provide effective and efficient client care.
- Complete comprehensive hosting agency orientation, familiarize yourself with policies and procedures, and integrate smoothly into the team.
- Prepare meticulously for client sessions by reviewing case notes and conducting necessary research into specific client issues.
- Participate in small group supervision or seminars, including video reviews and collective research, to deepen your clinical understanding.
- Maintain accurate client records in both written and electronic formats, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Coordinate services with partner agencies, streamlining the care process for your clients.
- Research and implement best practices for various assignments and projects, guided by your supervisor's direction.
- Engage in client consultations, working collaboratively with other professionals within and outside the agency.
- Write detailed case notes, assessments, and treatment evaluations that reflect your clinical insights and client interactions.
- Contribute actively to the formulation of individualized treatment plans aimed at achieving client-specific goals.
Your work will primarily involve diverse client groups seeking mental health support. This may include individuals facing a range of challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. You will have the opportunity to work with clients from various backgrounds, building rapport and trust through empathetic and confidential communication.
QualificationsTo be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- A Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required.
- Possession of a valid state license (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW) is mandatory, in accordance with state regulations.
- Demonstrated strong clinical skills with a proven ability to develop rapport and trust with clients.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that promote effective interactions with clients and colleagues.
- A clean record with no history of medical malpractice claims, verified through a third party.
