Remote Relocation Move Project Manager information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Relocation Move Project Manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Relocation Move Project Manager, you need expertise in project management, logistics coordination, and relocation processes, usually supported by a bachelor's degree and relevant experience. Familiarity with project management software (such as Asana or MS Project), relocation management systems, and possibly a PMP certification are often required. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills help you manage remote teams and client expectations effectively. These abilities are crucial for coordinating seamless moves, minimizing disruptions, and ensuring client satisfaction in a remote setting.

What is a Remote Relocation Move Project Manager?

A Remote Relocation Move Project Manager is a professional who oversees and coordinates the process of moving individuals or businesses from one location to another, managing the project entirely or partially from a remote location. Their responsibilities include planning logistics, coordinating with moving vendors, ensuring timelines are met, managing budgets, and communicating with clients and stakeholders throughout the move. They use digital tools to track progress, resolve issues, and ensure a smooth relocation experience without being physically present at the moving site.

What are some common challenges faced by a Remote Relocation Move Project Manager and how can they be addressed?

A Remote Relocation Move Project Manager often navigates challenges such as coordinating logistics across multiple locations, managing vendors remotely, and keeping clear communication with both clients and onsite teams. Overcoming these obstacles requires strong organizational skills, proactive use of digital project management tools, and regular virtual check-ins to ensure everyone is aligned on timelines and expectations. Building solid relationships with trusted local partners and establishing clear protocols for issue escalation can also help streamline the relocation process and minimize disruptions.

Stack Builders

New York, NY โ€ข Remote

Contractor

Posted 7 days ago

Job description

Weโ€™re Stack Builders, a US software consultancy based in New York, Quito, and Madrid. We work together to deliver high-quality, pragmatic software solutions for our international client base, and weโ€™re looking to grow our dedicated, diverse team. Weโ€™re currently seeking a talented AEM Project Manager to join us!

For this remote contractor role, you will work on one of our client projects, partnering with their team to generate awareness for their brand, world-class website, visitors, and users. We're looking for an AEM Project Manager who will serve as the Scrum Master for a full-stack scrum team (a cross-functional website delivery pod coordinating design, content lifecycle, and engineering). In this role, you'll partner closely with our Web Leaders to translate web priorities and ideas into clear, actionable work for the team driving alignment and execution from intake and planning through build, and release. You'll run scrum ceremonies, manage timelines and dependencies, remove blockers, and keep stakeholders informed of your progress.

Youโ€™ll work closely with product managers, digital marketers, web designers, and engineers to execute priority projects. If you are passionate about the continuous drive for improvement in performance and quality while delivering compelling creativity and messaging, then we encourage you to apply and show us your unique skill set!

For this specific job post, we can only accept candidates who reside in and are eligible to work in the US as a contractor.

Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of project management and/or a Scrum Master in a digital product, web, or full-stack delivery environment.
  • 3+ years of experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
  • Proven experience running Scrum ceremonies and improving team flow.
  • Proficiency with Agile workflows and Jira.
  • Knowledge of SEO, web analytics, and content strategy.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder communication and digital marketing objectives.
  • Comfort managing ambiguity, dependencies, and cross-functional coordination (UX/UI, content, engineering, authoring).
  • Hands-on knowledge of online content management for various devices.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills; translating business needs into executable delivery plans.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, experienced with status reporting and risk management
  • Ability to understand dynamic enterprise workflows and processes quickly.
  • Availability to overlap at least 4 hours with the US PDT time zone working hours.
  • Fluent and efficient communication skills in English are necessary for direct communication with clients and across different departments.
  • Location: open to candidates in Canada, Colombia, and the US, with flexibility on specific locations.
  • For US applicants, the ability to work as an independent contractor under an LLC, C-Corp, or S-Corp.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with B2B tech company websites.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

    • Scrum leadership & agile delivery: Facilitate all core ceremonies (standups, planning, refinement, reviews/demos, retros). Protect and maintain a consistent sprint cadence. Ensure sprint work meets โ€œReadyโ€ standards (clear requirements, acceptance criteria, Definition of Done). Drive continuous improvement with actionable retro outcomes and follow-through.
    • Project Brief โ†’ Planning โ†’ Execution: Collaborate with the Workstream and Delivery Leads to turn Project Brief priorities into a clear delivery plan. Work with Delivery Lead to break PRDs into sprint-ready, refined stories that will be executed upon for the quarter.
    • Backlog & Jira ownership (source of truth): Create/manage the work hierarchy (Initiatives/Epics/Stories as agreed). Maintain Jira hygiene (accurate statuses, clean board, up-to-date priorities). Ensure Jira reflects reality for active and upcoming work, including delivery notes, risks, and dependencies.
    • Dependency, risk & blocker management: Identify and remove blockers. Track cross-team dependencies (e.g. engineering, UX/UI, content, authoring). Surface risks, trade-offs, and decision points early; escalate when needed.
    • Stakeholder alignment & communication: Keep stakeholders informed with clear, regular updates on sprint progress, milestones, scope changes, risks/issues, and decisions. Facilitate working sessions/workshops that move work from โ€œideaโ€ to โ€œready to build.โ€ Escalate priority conflicts to PgM/Workstream/Delivery leadership for resolution.
    • Documentation & delivery visibility: Maintain organized project documentation (Project Brief, PRDs, transcripts, notes, etc.) in the agreed knowledge base. Provide lightweight reporting on delivery health (e.g., throughput/velocity, cycle time) to support planning and forecasting.
    • Team coordination & operating model adoption: Coordinate cross-functional needs and promote effective ways of working across the Pod. Partner with the Program Manager to help the team adopt consistent processes, roles, and reporting in the new operating model.
    • Coordinate with designers, copywriters, content authors, developers, and marketing teams to execute campaigns and projects. Manage web content production and publishing schedules in AEM ensuring on-time delivery.
    • Maintain delivery forecasts and adjust plans as scope, capacity, or priority shifts - ensuring decisions are transparent and documented.
    • Handling third-party integrations, SEO optimization, and tracking implementation.
    • Working with developers to enhance AEMโ€™s front-end experience.

Benefits

  • Fully remote work modality
  • People first: We provide you with a human-centered experience.
  • Challenging, exciting, and ongoing projects. We work with some of the most admired companies worldwide.
  • A strong learning culture.
  • Exceptionally talented and passionate coworkers.
  • A Stack Builders community to support you and learn with you!
  • Timely payments, with the flexibility to choose the payment date modality that best suits your needs.
  • Company-sponsored conferences, OSS contributions, and blog posts.
