Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status, developing tailored treatment plans that align with their unique needs.
  • Provide ongoing therapeutic sessions via telehealth, utilizing a variety of evidence-based techniques to facilitate personal growth and healing.
  • Regularly monitor and document client progress through electronic health record (EHR) systems, maintaining accurate and confidential patient information.
  • Guide clients through challenges associated with conditions such as anxiety, depression, substance use, and trauma, promoting the development of effective coping strategies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care, including referrals to psychiatrists or specialist programs as necessary.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse range of clients, including individuals navigating mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and substance use concerns. The flexibility of a telehealth setting allows you to reach clients from various backgrounds and locations, enabling you to respond to different cultural needs effectively.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current and valid license as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of California.
  • A minimum of four years of related experience demonstrating a breadth and depth of clinical knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of various mental health disorders, cultural competence, and modern evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
  • Proficiency in working with both individual and group therapy modalities, using empathetic and inclusive practices.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in delivering teletherapy or virtual counseling services, with a proven ability to engage and build rapport with clients remotely.
  • Advanced crisis intervention skills and the capability to handle high-stress situations calmly and effectively.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems and digital patient management tools is desirable.
