SUPERVISES: There are no direct reports with this position.
POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Curriculum Support Specialist develops and updates instructional content and training materials to support Workforce Inclusion learning programs. Employees in this job class collaborate with subject matter experts and trainers to produce curriculum resources, ensure accessibility compliance, and maintain content quality across multiple delivery formats. This job class requires knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning methodologies, and the ability to manage projects, utilize authoring tools, and apply inclusive design standards effectively.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
1. *Designs and updates Workforce Inclusion course content using current curriculum development concepts and adult learning principles withing established organizational standards to support internal staff development and external partnership training.
2. *Collaborates with subject matter experts to refine instructional materials and ensure relevance and alignment with departmental training objectives.
3. *Develops instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning resources for departmental programs, applying inclusive design and accessibility standards.
4. *Creates assessments and supplementary resources to measure learning outcomes and recommends improvements bases on evaluation of data.
5. *Conducts research on educational trends relevant to the department and integrates findings into curriculum design.
6. *Establishes timelines and objectives for departmental curriculum projects and monitors progress to ensure timely delivery.
7. *Supports train-the-trainer initiatives by producing facilitation guides and coaching departmental trainers on effective delivery methods.
8. *Utilizes authoring tools (Articulate, Adobe Suite, Camtasia) to produce engaging learning materials and ensures compliance with accessibility requirements.
9. *Maintains technical and professional knowledge through ongoing development and applies best practices to departmental training programs.
10. *Other duties and special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Three or more years of experience in curriculum design and instructional development, including assessment and evaluation;
• Proficiency in authoring tools such as Adobe eLearning Suite, Articulate, and Camtasia;
• Strong understanding of educational standards and adult learning principles;
• Ability to support facilitators and trainers using instructional materials.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to make presentations and respond to inquiries by management, team, vendors and/or customers;
• Proficient computer literacy in Microsoft Office, Learning Management Systems (LMS), word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation software, and meeting software;
• Human relation skills to build effective relationships with team and internal customers;
• Knowledge of business English including vocabulary, spelling, and correct grammatical usage and punctuation;
• Mathematical skills to include the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations;
• Ability to establish priorities and solve a wide range of business problems;
• Demonstrated customer service, common- sense, problem solving and analytical skills;
• Flexibility to respond to changing work priorities and handle numerous projects at the same time.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Business Administration or related field
A comparable combination of formal education and work experience will be considered.
