Job description

Team Red Dog is hiring a Surface Commercial Sales Specialist for our client, a Fortune 100 technology leader and leading cloud and software provider. In this fully remote role, you'll own a portfolio of commercial SMB and mid-market accounts, driving Surface device revenue through outbound sales, account management, pipeline generation, and end-to-end deal execution. Working closely with customers, partners, and internal Microsoft teams, you'll build new business opportunities, accelerate sales cycles, and contribute to innovative AI-driven selling initiatives that are shaping the future of commercial sales. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technology sales professional who enjoys building customer relationships, exceeding revenue goals, and making a measurable business impact.

Top Required Skills (Must Haves):

  1. Proven experience with sales execution, negotiation, and closing technology solutions, including managing opportunities from discovery through deal close.
  2. Strong account management and pipeline generation experience with the ability to grow existing business while creating new customer demand.
  3. Experience selling laptops, tablets, Surface devices, or comparable commercial technology products while partnering with customers and channel partners.
  4. Strong proficiency using CRM platforms, Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot, and sales reporting tools to manage pipeline, forecast performance, and drive business decisions.

Opportunity Overview:

Join a high-performing commercial sales organization responsible for accelerating Microsoft Surface growth across small and midsize business customers. This role combines outbound demand generation, strategic account management, and consultative technology sales with the opportunity to influence emerging AI-driven sales programs and scalable selling motions. You'll have direct ownership of customer success while helping shape innovative sales strategies that drive measurable revenue growth.

How you will make an impact:
• Own the Microsoft Surface commercial business for an assigned portfolio of SMB and SMEC customer accounts.
• Develop and execute account strategies that protect existing revenue while identifying opportunities for continued growth.
• Generate new pipeline through proactive outbound prospecting, customer outreach, and demand creation campaigns.
• Manage the complete sales lifecycle from opportunity discovery through negotiation, closing, and post-sale customer support.
• Build trusted relationships with customers to understand business needs and recommend appropriate Surface solutions.
• Coordinate closely with Microsoft partners, pricing teams, and internal stakeholders to accelerate deals and remove sales obstacles.
• Deliver concierge-level customer service throughout the purchasing process to create an exceptional buying experience.
• Support partner enablement activities, incentive programs, and co-sell motions that improve overall sales execution.
• Track pipeline health, sales performance, and revenue metrics while providing insights that strengthen future sales strategies.
• Contribute to AI-driven selling initiatives and scalable sales programs that improve customer engagement and operational efficiency.

The expertise you bring:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Approximately 5+ years of technology sales, account management, and sales negotiation experience.
• Experience selling commercial laptops, tablets, Surface devices, or comparable hardware solutions.
• Demonstrated success generating pipeline, managing customer accounts, and consistently achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
• Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Experience working with channel partners and coordinating cross-functional sales efforts.
• Proficiency using CRM platforms, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot, and sales reporting tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence customers and internal stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, performance-driven sales environment.

What makes a candidate highly successful in this role:

Successful candidates bring a proven history of exceeding sales goals through disciplined account management, proactive pipeline generation, and consultative technology sales. They understand how to develop trusted customer relationships, navigate complex sales cycles, collaborate effectively with partners and internal teams, and use performance metrics to continuously improve results. Experience selling commercial hardware solutions, combined with strong business acumen and a growth mindset, will position candidates for success in this highly visible revenue-generating role.
