A Remote Recovery Support Navigator is a professional who provides guidance, resources, and emotional support to individuals recovering from substance use or mental health challenges, primarily through virtual communication channels such as phone, video calls, or online chat. They help clients set recovery goals, connect them with community resources, and offer ongoing encouragement to maintain sobriety or mental wellness. The role often involves collaboration with healthcare providers and support networks to ensure clients have a comprehensive recovery plan. Remote Recovery Support Navigators may work for treatment centers, non-profits, or telehealth organizations, offering flexible and accessible support regardless of the client's location.

They collaborate closely with healthcare providers, social workers, and peer support specialists through virtual team meetings and shared digital documentation. This structure ensures clients receive coordinated care, while navigators maintain open communication channels with the entire care team. Adapting to remote work requires strong organizational skills and proactive outreach to both clients and colleagues.
