Position Summary: The Electronic Health Records Analyst evaluates, designs, supports, maintains, and builds solutions within Electronic Health Records systems. This individual will have a strong understanding of business processing needs involved in behavioral health, foster care and financial responsibilities tied to clinical operations, that will improve the productivity and efficiency of the business. This Analyst will build electronic solutions and implements within the EHIM. This role will closely interface with the clinical revenue cycle and technical staff during all project phases, including, unit testing, integration and user acceptance testing, implementation, and post implementation support. 

Primary responsibilities:

Electronic Health Records (EHR) Systems Administration & Optimization
  • Administer, maintain, and enhance EHR systems, supporting clinical documentation, data management, reporting, and workflow automation.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve EHR system issues, collaborating with vendors and internal teams to implement solutions and improvements.
  • Partner with operational and cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, optimize workflows, and support system integrations.
  • Design and maintain electronic forms, documentation tools, and reporting capabilities that meet operational and regulatory requirements.
  • Support EHR user adoption through training, collaboration, and participation in system governance and improvement initiatives.
EHR Security, Configuration & Compliance
  • Configure and maintain EHR security structures, user roles, permissions, and access controls.
  • Coordinate system upgrades, enhancements, testing, and implementation activities to ensure successful deployment and performance.
  • Manage vendor relationships and issue resolution efforts related to EHR functionality and system performance.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, privacy regulations, organizational policies, and data security standards while proactively identifying and mitigating risk.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
  • Promote best practices, data integrity, and operational excellence across EHR processes and reporting.
  • Partner with internal super users, departmental leaders, and vendors to improve system functionality and user experience.
  • Participate in audits, quality reviews, and process improvement initiatives to support regulatory compliance and organizational goals.

Requirements

 Required Education and Licensure:

  • AA degree in HMIS, Computer Science, or Healthcare-related field. 
  • A minimum of one (1) year of EHR system and managing data experience. 
  • In lieu of degree, the equivalent of two (2) years of combined related work and education will be considered. 
  • Valid driver's license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Home Office driving requirements 

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience in Netsmart products including myEvolv, OrderConnect, or myHealthPointe preferred.
