Job description

Robert Half Legal is seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to support a growing organization focused on acquiring gas stations and commercial real estate properties. This role is ideal for a paralegal with strong commercial real estate transaction experience who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume acquisitions environment.


The selected candidate will play a key role in reviewing, drafting, and managing documentation throughout the acquisition process while ensuring accuracy through thorough due diligence and quality control reviews.


Real Estate Paralegal (Commercial Real Estate Acquisitions)

Pay Rate: $40.00 - $55.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week during EST business hours

Duration: 6+ Month Contract

Location: Initially Remote; Transition to 100% Onsite in New York City Once Office is Established


 

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze commercial real estate transaction documents related to property and gas station acquisitions.
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including review of title reports, surveys, leases, contracts, easements, and related documentation.
  • Draft transaction documents, correspondence, purchase agreements, closing checklists, and other legal documents.
  • Support acquisitions from initial diligence through closing.
  • Coordinate with attorneys, lenders, title companies, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Organize and maintain transaction files and ensure all required documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Perform multiple levels of document review and quality control to identify discrepancies and mitigate risk.
  • Track deadlines, transaction milestones, and closing requirements.


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Commercial Real Estate Paralegal experience.
  • Experience supporting real estate acquisitions, dispositions, or development transactions.
  • Strong document drafting and review skills.
  • Knowledge of title, survey, and due diligence review processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting high-volume acquisition teams.
  • Background working with retail properties, fuel stations, convenience stores, or multi-site real estate portfolios.
  • Paralegal Certificate and/or Bachelor's degree preferred.
