Discover Your Career at Emory University
Emory University is a leading research university that fosters excellence and attracts world-class talent to innovate today and prepare leaders for the future. We welcome candidates who can contribute to the excellence of our academic community.
Description
Emory University School of Medicine's Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences is committed to fostering a culture that is healthy and sustainable, and a supportive environment for our people to thrive throughout their careers. The department has a strong commitment to faculty development and academic advancement.
We welcome candidates with a variety of backgrounds and experiences who can contribute to the excellence of our community through its clinical, educational, and/or research missions.
The Division of Cardiothoracic Imaging is seeking full-time fellowship-trained Cardiothoracic Radiologists for evening emergency department, inpatient, and outpatient work.
This evening position rotates 1 week on (7 days, 9-hour shift, 6p-3a) and 2 weeks off (inclusive of recovery, vacation, CME, academic). This equates to 121 clinical shifts per year. 17 weeks of remote clinical evenings per year! These can be remote from anywhere in the USA except New Jersey, Hawaii, or Alaska. If applicants desire an in-person component, that can be accommodated, but the work can be 100% remote.
This evening Cardiothoracic Radiologist will focus their clinical care on imaging obtained as part of the Emory Healthcare System, including Emory University Hospital, a tertiary referral center, and its network of 7 hospitals centered in the Atlanta metropolitan area. Interpretations will be provided in conjunction with trainees including our team of radiology residents (20 per year) and neuroradiology fellows (9 per year).
Candidates will join a large and well-staffed division of Cardiothoracic Imaging.
Clinical scope includes chest X-rays, chest CT, cardiac CT, and vascular imaging.
If candidates are interested, they will have opportunities to take on additional shifts for additional pay that cover cardiothoracic imaging, general radiology, and other body areas.
Compensation rates reflect newly updated and enhanced compensation rates effective 9/1/2026.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Imaging.
  • Applicants must be ABR board-certified/eligible and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted Georgia medical license.
  • Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience.

NOTE: Tasks related to this position can be performed remotely with only occasional visits to an Emory University location. Eastern (EST) time zone business hours may apply. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee. Emory does not approve as a primary work location in the following states; NJ, AK, and HI, any U.S. Territories or outside of the United States.
