This opportunity is perfect for a student or someone looking for an opportunity to be a role where your opinion is valued and encouraged and that want something to grow into.
This is a 20 hour weekly remote opportunity for an established accounting firm that could potentially grow into a full-time salaried position. The hours are completely flexible and at your convenience and from any location. We are looking for US residents only at this time. You must own your own computer and printer and have reliable internet service. All of our programs are online.
You would be responsible for Month End and Year End Closings, Sales Tax Filings, Expense and Bank Management, AR Reconciliations, Fixed Asset Maintenance, GL Reconciliation and Customer Service. You would be provided with ample training on our internal systems and workflows. We are looking for a person who is very comfortable and adaptable with technology, expert in QuickBooks Online and Desktop and Excel, loves a challenge, enjoys critical thinking, respects a deadline and has the ambition and drive to move forward in life. We are looking for someone who can work independently with little supervision and is able to stay organized and prepared for our weekly one on one times. We are looking for a person who always wants to know the "why" behind what we do.
You would be making a difference to our small businesses who are learning and growing into their own and who are looking for guidance. We are a smaller firm and that means that everyone wears all of the hats and gets to see all sides of accounting. We are estimating 20 weekly hours to start which would/could quickly increase rapidly for the right person.
What We Have to Have:
  • Recent Public Accounting Experience.
  • Expert in QuickBooks Online and Desktop. Expert in Payroll Processing Across All Platforms.
  • 3-5 Years Full Cycle Accounting Experience.
  • Payroll Processing Experience and a Deep Understanding of Payroll Returns
  • Deep Understanding of What Makes up each Financial Statement.
  • Ability to Research and Critically Think When Help is Not Available.
  • Sales Tax Filing, Research and Calculation Experience.
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills. 
  • Self-Starter Requiring Very Little Supervision on a Day to Day Basis
