Position Purpose:
We are seeking a Remote Commercial Plumbing Estimator to prepare material takeoffs, estimates, bids, quotations, and submittals for commercial construction projects throughout the Northeast and beyond. Successful candidates will have experience interpreting plumbing drawings, specifications, and construction documents while supporting contractors, engineers, architects, and project teams. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely while contributing to complex commercial plumbing projects with a well-established industry leader.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Plumbing Estimator, Construction Estimator, Mechanical Estimator, Project Coordinator, Inside Sales Representative, or commercial plumbing professional looking to grow their career with a leading plumbing and HVAC distributor.
Essential Functions:
  • Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Answer telephone calls professionally and pleasantly.
  • Understand customers needs and requirements.
  • Follow up on leads through email and phone calls.
  • Accurately input and fill customer orders.
  • Understand and anticipate the needs of customers.
  • Provide continuous phone coverage to effectively take care of customers and incoming calls.
  • Connect potential accounts to the appropriate team members in order to best service their needs.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to obtain new customers and introduce them to the products and services that best match their needs.
  • Continuously expand product knowledge in order to best service the customer.
  • Determine customer needs and potential for additional sales through suggestion of related products which will enhance their experience.
  • Determine product sale price in accordance with company procedure as well as address questions about product availability.
  • Keep pricing lists and structures confidential.
  • Teach customers about product features and benefits.
  • Continuously obtain information about new products, pricing changes and discontinued products.
  • Maintain a clean and professional work environment.
  • Apply active listening skills; paying attention to what customers are saying, being sure to understand their needs and asking appropriate questions in order to best enhance their purchasing experience.
  • Achieve company set goals and objectives as well as consistently strive to exceed sales performance goals.
  • Work effectively in a fully remote environment while collaborating with sales teams, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Participate in virtual meetings with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage project documentation electronically using estimating software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Maintain consistent communication and responsiveness while working remotely.
  • Perform other responsibilities as directed.

Physical Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
  • Sedentary work.
