About the Role:
In this South-Eastern (SE) based remote role, the Business Development Manager will establish new sales in existing and new channels in the South-Eastern region consisting of Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Florida for our Water-Tite Water Damage Prevention brand portfolio, specifically in the pump division.
This metric driven sales leader will focus on creating demand at the contractor, and end-user level and guide opportunities to our channel partners. Having connections at the plumbing and groundwater contractor level in the South-Eastern region is required as well as comfort with leading product demos.
Travel will be a key part of this position comprising at least 50% of the role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Deliver monthly sales objectives primarily in the Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Florida.
  • This candidate will also assist within the product category to drive growth in other territories when needed.
  • Create demand at contractor/end-user level and guide resulting opportunities to channel partners.
  • Create and maintain sales funnel to grow sales; generate amp; follow-up on customer leads and opportunities.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to gain early adoption of new products.
  • Work with sales team and customers to establish and solidify working relationships that will lead to incremental sales.
  • Engage current users to expand awareness, educate, ask for referrals, identify new opportunities, and develop account intelligence.
  • Capable of understanding customer pain points, requirements and correlating potential business to value.
  • Aptitude to manage numerous requests and time demands concurrently, while achieving sales goals.
  • Promotes a strong sense of urgency for reaching goals and key deliverables
  • Demonstrates initiative and brings new ideas to the company
  • Uses lean six sigma principles to define and shape Key Performance Indicators and performance measurement

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • 3+ years’ experience in plumbing/groundwater/building/construction sales.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing or Engineering and/or comparable Technical School, training or field experience preferred.
  • Experience calling on building products, plumbing, or groundwater contractors, builders, and product engineers.
  • Earlier pump sales and product knowledge is a preferred.
