• Conduct thorough initial consultations and mental health evaluations, carefully documenting all findings to create a comprehensive treatment history.
• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups based on clinical assessments and evidence-based practices.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions to encourage client participation and progress.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate clients' progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting plans as necessary to meet their evolving needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
• Provide necessary follow-ups with medical professionals for clients who may require hospitalization or additional medical support.
• Proactively identify potential setbacks or obstacles to recovery, developing strategies to mitigate these challenges and support client success.
• Support families and caregivers in understanding and managing their loved ones' mental health challenges.

At Function First Therapy Center, our clients encompass a diverse range of ages, backgrounds, and mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma, and substance use issues. • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
• A passing score in the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• A minimum of two years of professional experience as a mental health counselor.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for case management and documentation.
• Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Experience working with co-occurring disorders, including addiction issues alongside mental health challenges.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical impacts and an understanding of medications prescribed by healthcare professionals.
• Strong background in therapeutic modalities and techniques relevant to diverse populations.
• Demonstrated ability to provide culturally competent care and exhibit exceptional interpersonal relationships with clients.
