Work Environment

This position operates within a remote setting, allowing mental health counselors the flexibility to connect with clients from the comfort of their own homes. Although remote, team members are encouraged to engage regularly through virtual meetings and collaborative sessions, ensuring a cohesive and connected workplace atmosphere. The outpatient office serves as a supportive framework where counselors can share insights and resources, thus enhancing the overall efficacy of client care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations during initial consultations, documenting findings systematically to understand clients' backgrounds and needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that detail intervention strategies for clients, incorporating their strengths and resources.
• Facilitate dynamic therapy sessions, both individually and in groups, addressing a range of mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues.
• Monitor and document client progress regularly, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure the best outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals, to create comprehensive intervention plans that promote optimal mental health.
• Engage in follow-up activities with hospitalized clients, coordinating care and ensuring continuity as they transition back to outpatient services.
• Identify barriers to recovery, employing proactive measures to mitigate these challenges while also engaging support systems like family caregivers.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in mental health counseling.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• A sound understanding of physical and emotional health conditions, along with addiction disorders.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with the best practices as set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Knowledge of the pharmacological impacts of medications prescribed for mental health conditions.
• Demonstrated aptitude for excellent written and verbal communication, alongside strong interpersonal skills vital for client engagement.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to USD 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
