Position: Public Relations Intern
Location: Miami, Florida (Remote or Brickell Office)
Contract: Internship (Unpaid – Class Credit Required)


Position Overview

The Public Relations Intern will support the PR and Communications team in executing day-to-day activities, media outreach, and campaign planning. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment, contributing to brand storytelling, media relations, and strategic communications initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in calls with PR agency partners and location marketing teams to stay aligned on PR strategy and updates

  • Monitor and track press coverage across all properties using tools like Muck Rack and compile monthly reports

  • Maintain and update media lists across travel, lifestyle, fashion, trade, and business sectors

  • Assist in drafting press materials including press releases, media kits, and pitches

  • Support internal and external newsletter creation and distribution

  • Prepare talking points and key messaging for press interviews and PR campaigns

  • Coordinate and document media visits to properties and compile coverage reports

  • Conduct research and identify relevant industry trends


What We’re Looking For

  • College junior or senior pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field

  • Availability Monday–Friday with flexible hours based on class schedule

  • Eligible to receive academic credit (unpaid internship)

  • Previous PR internship experience, ideally within hospitality, travel, or lifestyle sectors

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively

  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively

  • Proficiency in English

  • Familiarity with PR tools and platforms (e.g., Cision, Muck Rack)

  • Working knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office
